In the '80s she was known for jumping on- and off-stage during her outrageous performances. But now Reesa Marchetti, leader of the quirky Philly new-wave band, Reesa and The Rooters, performs seated in a power chair. She was diagnosed with MS in 1998, but she still keeps her shows energetic. Reesa is recording a follow-up to the 2008 Reesa and The Rooters EP, "Melt the Iceman."
The music is played on college radio and regional stations such as WXPN. The band last performed at the World Cafe Live in Philly.
Reesa currently plays her music in electronic format, sans band, as "Reesa B." with her musical partner, "Mo" Maureen Simmons. [Read more]
